Dear TRC, due to a combination of factors ALL rugby and touch-rugby is cancelled at TRC for the next TWO weekends. We will send the next update no later than Friday 3rd April.

Those factors include:
* The recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Singapore, many imported, which are now moving through the Singapore system
* The tightened guidelines from the MoE for local schools, including the cancellation of co-curricular activities for two weeks from March 23rd (Click here to read)
* The closure and switch to remote-learning of several international schools (which represent some of our largest constituencies)
Why two weekends? This allows 14 days to elapse from the 20th of March (the cut-off date for compulsory stay-home notices for all travellers) and is also the current cancellation period for co-curricular school activities. We will then reassess the situation.
We do recognise that outdoor activity, done safely, can play a positive role in health and wellness, especially at these times, and we will continue to assess ways in which we may be able to return to safe activity within the guidance and regulations in force at the time. In the meantime we will be working on more suggestions and activities to do at home - watch this space for some fun ideas and videos - adults, do join in!

Lastly, I have no doubt that at this troubling time the TRC community will pull together in it’s indomitable way to look after each other and be a positive role model for rugby, sport and Singapore. Though we may not be physically together, we are never far apart, a rugby friend is never more than a quick phone call or social media post away!

Yours (missing) rugby,
Lee and the TRC Committee #tanglinfamily #tanglinrugbyclub
