TRC Coaches

TRC Coaches are here to ensure our players have fun playing the game, are continuously improving their skills and
that they acquire a lifelong love of rugby and a pride in being a player for TRC.

Each age group has a dedicated Head Coach who is World Rugby (iRB) Level 1 or Level 2 qualified. They are each supported by World Rugby qualified Coaches along with “parents on the pitch” volunteers.  A minimum World Rugby Level 1 coaching qualification is one of the criteria to wear a coaches jersey at TRC.  The players from U15 and above are coached by Professional Coaches.  We also engage external highly qualified specialists for bespoke sessions for coaching skill development.

TRC has a professional Club Head Coach who oversees the pathway program for the whole rugby element of the club, provides support for age group specific skills, runs coach-the-coach training sessions and is Head Coach of the TRC Islanders (U17).

At TRC, it is our priority to ensure every Head Coach and age group Coach, is World Rugby (iRB) Level 1 / Level 2 qualified and up to date with all rugby laws.We host regular updates for all coaches delivered by our in-house Level 3 qualified referees.

All World Rugby coach training is provided free to our members and age appropriate players. Level 1 and Level 2 courses are run regularly in conjunction with the Singapore Rugby Union.  As a Club, we will ensure continued learning is supported, which ultimately benefits all our players.
